Scalvedi, Nosari & ASSOCIATI – Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors – is a professional partnership with three partners: Carlo Scalvedi, partner since 1995; Gerardo Gibellini, partner since 2009; and Giovanni Colombi, partner since 2018.

Carlo Scalvedi

Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor

Carlo Scalvedi, a partner since 1995, joined the firm in 1992, after graduating summa cum laude in Business Administration from the University of Bergamo (Università degli Studi di Bergamo) and attending courses at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. He is the managing partner of the firm.

Mr. Scalvedi advises his clients, all the while building close professional and fiduciary relationships, in the areas of extraordinary and strategic management (e.g., mergers, divestitures, transfers of assets, acquisitions and sales of companies; preparation of multi-year forecasts and business plans; due diligence; and sales of shareholdings) and financial crisis management (e.g., filing of petitions for restructuring or liquidation proceedings under the control of the Court). He is an attestor in settlements with creditors, debt restructuring and certified plans.

Since 1994, Mr. Scalvedi has served as a Court-appointed bankruptcy trustee, receiver and liquidator, as well as a court-appointed expert.

He is a statutory auditor and director of Italian and international companies.

He speaks Italian and English.

Gerardo Gibellini

Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor

Gerardo Gibellini has been a partner in the firm since 1 January 2009 and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bergamo (Università degli Studi di Bergamo).

After several years of significant work experience at a major international auditing firm, during which he further developed his knowledge in the accounting and auditing field (internal control, Italian and international accounting standards, preparation of company and consolidated financial statements, and auditing standards and procedures), Mr. Gibellini was employed as an internal auditor at SACBO S.p.A. He then joined Scalvedi Nosari in September 2005.

Mr. Gibellini provides business, accounting and tax consulting for Italian firms and multinational groups. Moreover, he specializes in international acquisitions thanks to his fluency in Italian, English and French.

He serves as a court-appointed bankruptcy trustee for the Court of Bergamo.

Giovanni Colombi

Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor

Giovanni Colombi joined the firm as a partner on 1 January 2018 and has a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Public Administration Management from Bocconi University in Milan (Università Commerciale Bocconi di Milano).

From 1994 to 2017, Mr. Colombi managed his own accounting firm mainly oriented toward small and medium-sized businesses, developing a 360-degree service to assist clients in their daily accounting and tax needs.

Mr. Colombi handles tax dispute resolution and serves as a court-appointed receiver and bankruptcy trustee for the Court of Bergamo.

He is a statutory auditor for companies operating in Italy.

He speaks Italian and English.

History

Scalvedi, Nosari & ASSOCIATI, formerly Studio Nosari Commercialisti Associati, is a professional partnership set up in 1977 by its founders Adriano Nosari and Gianfranco Secomandi.

Since 2009, the firm and its work have been managed by Carlo Scalvedi, designated by Adriano Nosari as the successor managing partner, and by Gerardo Gibellini. On 1 January 2018, the partnership expanded with the arrival of partner Giovanni Colombi.
